Turkey’s Industrial Expertise to Support Oman’s Economic Transformation
Yunus Ete, chair of the Türkiye–Oman Business Council under the Foreign Economic Relations Board, stated that Türkiye’s engineering know-how and industrial infrastructure will make “concrete contributions” to Oman’s efforts to diversify its economy.
He revealed that the OMNEX 2026 conference is scheduled to take place in Muscat from February 2 to 4, describing the event as “an inclusive cooperation platform focused on future investments and production models.” He also emphasized that Türkiye’s selection as this year’s guest of honor has “much deeper meaning than a symbolic gesture.”
Ete highlighted that Oman is considered one of Türkiye’s strategic, long-term partners, adding: “We aim to take the relations between the two countries to a higher level at this event.”
He further explained that the bilateral relationship rests on a solid foundation through the Joint Economic Commission mechanism, noting that the forum reflects the diplomatic momentum generated by high-level visits between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Omani Head of State Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.
