(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump stated that an agreement aimed at ending the conflict between the United States and Iran has been largely negotiated and is now awaiting finalization.
In remarks shared on his social media platform, Trump indicated that the proposed deal involves the United States, Iran, and several other countries, and that remaining details are still being worked out before an official announcement.
He also said he held discussions with multiple regional leaders during what he described as a positive call, and confirmed a separate conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the evolving situation.
According to his statement, the final elements of the agreement are currently under discussion, with an announcement expected once they are completed. He added that the deal would include provisions related to reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
The negotiations have reportedly been conducted through intermediaries in Islamabad, focusing on issues including Iran’s nuclear program, sanctions relief, and maritime access through the strategic waterway.
